How pickup works

Sellers can offer local pickup as a shipping alternative. Your suburb is shown to buyers so they can see whether pickup is convenient, but your full address is never shared.

You receive a notification

When a buyer chooses pickup at checkout, you'll get a notification with their details.

Arrange a meeting point

Use in-app messaging to agree on a convenient time and place. A public spot or your own home both work, whatever suits you both.

Confirm the handover

At the meeting, the buyer shows their pickup code and you scan or enter it in the app. That confirms the handover and completes the order.

Payment is released

Once the handover is confirmed, payment is released from escrow to your account. If a pickup is never confirmed, payment auto-releases 14 days after the order is placed.

Safety tips

Pick a spot you're comfortable with. Plenty of members are happy to have buyers collect from their home, while others prefer a public place in daylight hours. Share only what you're comfortable sharing, and if something feels off, trust your instincts and reschedule or cancel.

No cash needed

All payments are handled securely through Lhoop's escrow system. There is no need to exchange cash at pickup.
