Community Guidelines
Our community standard
Keep Lhoop kind, honest, and family-first
Lhoop works best when members treat each other like neighbours. These guidelines explain how we expect the platform to be used so buying and selling stays safe, transparent, and community-powered.
Treat every member with respect
Communicate like you are dealing with another local family. Be polite, patient, and clear in messages, even when something has gone wrong or a sale does not go ahead.
List items honestly
Use real photos, accurate condition notes, and clear pricing. If an item has wear, missing parts, or limits on use, say so upfront so buyers can make informed decisions.
Keep children and families safe
Do not list unsafe, recalled, counterfeit, or prohibited items. Follow product safety guidance, clean items before sending, and use age-appropriate descriptions where that matters.
Protect your children's privacy
Keep your kids out of your listings. Photograph the item on its own rather than on your child, and avoid photos that show a child wearing or using what you are selling. It keeps their privacy intact while still showing the item clearly.
Respect time, pickups, and delivery commitments
Ship on time, share tracking when required, and show up for agreed pickups. If plans change, message the other member early so nobody is left guessing.
Protect trust in the community
Keep payments and communication on-platform whenever possible, avoid spam or harassment, and never pressure other members into unsafe arrangements. Trust grows when everyone plays fair.
Help the community stay strong
Report listings or behaviour that look unsafe, dishonest, or abusive. Our team may remove content, pause accounts, or restrict access when behaviour harms the community experience.
Need help or want to report something?
Visit our Trust & Safety page or contact support if a listing, message, or member behaviour does not match these guidelines.
