Lorikeet Park at the SkyRidge community in Worongary is the newest playground on the Gold Coast, opened in November 2025. Spread across more than two hectares, it is built to a scale that suits everyone from toddlers to teenagers.
The draws include a flying fox, big slides, climbing challenges, a water-play area and lookouts with views stretching from Southport to Burleigh Heads. There is even a five-hundred-person amphitheatre that hosts moonlight cinema, concerts and Christmas events.
With barbecue and picnic areas and an off-leash dog park, it is set up as a community gathering place, not just a playground.
